Puppy Fundamentals:
Perfect for first time puppy owners. This four-week class gives you the tools to help your puppy get a positive start. Puppy Fundamentals is for puppies 8-20 weeks old who have had at least one round of “puppy shots” and are up-to-date with vaccinations (vaccination records are required to participate). This class addresses the topics most critical to having a happy, well-adjusted dog for life:
- “Puppy survival topics,” including biting and chewing, socialization to city life, and housetraining
- Introduction to positive training, to teach your puppy how to be polite
Please note: for safety purposes, children under the age of 10 will not be allowed on the training floor.
Puppy Social:
Your puppy already knows how to play, but does he know how to play politely without getting overexcited? Puppy Social gives your little one opportunities to practice appropriate play with other puppies in a safe, professionally supervised environment, plus short periods of downtime so they learn to calm themselves. Puppy Social is also appropriate for shy puppies that need short exposures to play with breaks in the social pressure. For puppies under 6 months old and under 30 lbs. Registration is required. Limited to 6 puppies. Please bring your puppy’s favorite chew and lots of tiny treats.
Puppy Agility:
For puppies up to 8 months with at least one round of “puppy shots.” This class is like taking your puppy to the playground! It is your puppy’s first opportunity to play with agility equipment in a safe, secure environment. Even if you are not planning to pursue Agility with your dog, this is a great way to introduce him to novel stimuli during that critical socialization period. Objects with weird textures, movement and sounds will all be included. Equipment introduced may include bar jump, tire jump, wobble board, pause table, and tunnel. Jump bars are on the floor to avoid stressing puppy joints.
