More About Charleston

I talked to Dr. Vinitsky, our regular vet at Park Slope Vets, today. She has a great way of translating medical speak into something I can understand, despite my emotional state. The kind of tumor that Charleston has is a Fibrosarcoma. The reason it is inoperable is because they would have to remove so much area that he probably would not recover from the surgery. Dr. Vinitsky agreed that we should just make him as comfortable as we can.

To that end, I’ve posted photos of him drinking beer, eating ricotta cheese, watching a movie on the sofa bed and clowning around with Vinny (what a couple of jerks!).

My friend Felicia (an awesome trainer at Biscuits & Bath) suggested I give him some cheesecake, which I will do. If anyone has any other ideas I’d love to hear them.

Thanks to everyone that has expressed their concern. I just wish everyone could know exactly how wonderful he is.
