Faith Perez, CPDT-KA (she/her) is a certified professional dog trainer who uses positive reinforcement training methods and a client-centered approach to strengthen the human-animal bond. With several years of experience leading private and group training sessions —both in-person and virtually— Faith emphasizes enrichment, foundational manners, and behavioral support tailored to each dog’s unique needs.
Faith is a Brooklyn native who earned her B.S. in Pre-Veterinary Studies from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Although she initially pursued veterinary medicine, she found her calling in canine behavior and training. Her hands-on experience includes working in dog daycares and with rescue organizations like the ASPCA’s Community Animal Resource and Enrichment (CARE) program and DogsTrust USA, both of which helps rescues find loving homes. Additionally, she led sessions at ZoomRoom Chelsea where she taught agility, obedience, trick training, scent work, and canine core conditioning.
Faith is certified by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers and is a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator through the American Kennel Club (AKC). She is a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), which allows her to continuously expand her knowledge on effective and science-backed training solutions. Faith specializes in promoting calmness, focus, and resilience in busy urban environments including practical skills for real-world city living like loose-leash walking, polite greetings, and relaxation on the go. She also has a deep passion for canine core conditioning as a form of confidence building, mental enrichment, and strengthening the body to reduce the likelihood of injury.
Faith currently lives with her 12 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix, Barkley — her longtime inspiration and intelligent sidekick. Despite her arthritis in her back legs, Barkley still embodies the energy of a younger pup and brings child-like joy to everyone she meets.
